The opening ceremony for the Anti-Heresy Training Base of Suqian in Jiangsu Province, which was established to improve anti-heresy education, was hosted by the city's Christian Training Center on March 6. Senior leaders from the provincial Bureau of Ethnic and Religious Affairs and the city's United Front Work Department attended the ceremony. Jiang Hai, the deputy mayor and general director of the Suqian Public Security Bureau, presided over the ceremony.
According to the official website of the Bureau of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of Suqian, there are 1,099 religious venues, 410,000 believers, and 210 clerical staff in the city. The Base is established to train all the venue leaders, clerical staff, and religious backbones in two years.
It will also reinforce religious people and believers' judgement regarding heresies and help them to see the danger of heresies through systematic education, such as printing anti-heresy brochures, displaying pictures, present video materials, conduct expert teaching, listen to testimonies, creating serious atmosphere for understanding conduct lectures on policies and regulations, hold open discussions, and share written reviews.
Three-hundred venue leaders and clerical staff from around the city attended the first anti-heresy training on religious systems which was held after the opening ceremony.
