On Oct 23, the Meinian Christian Church of Shenzhen hosted the 10th Anniversary Thanksgiving Worship. With morning service and afternoon normal service, during which they introduced the history of the church, how they became Christians and the group delegate shared the serving testimonies. At evening service they introduced all the groups, prayed for the group leaders, and asked for God's guidance for a new starting point and vision of the church.
According to Shenzhen CCC&TSPM, starting October 2006 several believers started to gather in a café for Bible study and faith sharing. With the increasing believers, they moved to Brother Huang's home and then moved to Nanshan Village. In October 2016 they moved to Meinian Plaza for gatherings. On Mar 31, 2014, they registered "Shenzhen Meinian Christian Church."
The congregants of Meinian Church are mostly local young and middle-aged white collars and professionals. Due to the special needs, the church adopted the moderate ways to adapt to the Chinese culture. They replaced the traditional choir with Praise and Worship to encourage the congregants to keep up with the times to adapt to the development of the society.
Meinian Church values the developments on 6 aspects: living out Jesus' love, longing for spiritual anointment, equipping to be disciples, promoting group shepherding, sparing no efforts to spread the Gospel, and promoting family harmony.
Meinian Church has actively participated in social services in recent years. They have donated over 500,000 CNY ($74,626) for poverty alleviation and disaster relief, donations for brother churches, gospel based abstinence of drugs, and care for vulnerable groups.
