Kangding Church of Sichuan hosts a musical praise and worship meeting on Oct 23 with all believers and their family and friends invited to this spiritual baptism.
The church is located in No.52, Guangming Road, Kangding city, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province. The church was founded in the spring of 1897 (year Guangxu of Qing dynasty), so it has 115 years of history, originally known as the China Inland Mission Gospel Church of Kangding.
Kangding, a worldly famous historical and cultural city, is well known for Paoma Mountain. Its folk song, "Kangding Love Song", is a great hit in China. The city has been the financial, political, commercial and information center and transportation hub of Kangba Tibetan area since ancient times. The whole city has a territory area of eleven thousand and six hundred square kilometers, with Tibetan as the major nationality. Multiple nationalities like Han, Hui, Yi and Qiang settle here.
It is reported that in 35 places for religious activities, 31 of them are Tibetan Buddhist temples, and one is Catholic Church, one is Christian Church and another is Islamic Church, so all sects of Tibetan Buddhism gather there.
