In the morning of Oct 7, 2016, Christian Western Hill church of Urumqi, XinJiang Province, hosted a gathering for elderly limbs in the Lord to celebrate the Elderly Day. There are 173 elderlies above 70 years old, but only 157 of them joined worship that day for the others felt physically inconvenient to attend.
Rev. Luo WenGuang shared the lection in Luk: 17:11-19. He reminded the aged members to look up for God's mercy at any time, so their body and soul would both be cured in God's words; he then expressed his gratefulness for God's protection over the elderlies so they could still come in to worship God, and placed glory to God; he also encouraged them to offer gratefulness to God with a gracious heart, so their gratefulness would be enriched.
Church staff gave the elderlies quilt covers as gifts, praying for God to watch over the elderly limbs, and grand them mental and physical health, strength in spiritual life, and constantly being bathed in God's love.
