On July 23, Xingtai's flood control and drought relief headquarters reported that the continuous rains affected 1.722 million people in the 21 counties of the city in Hebei.
Throughout the day, the official death toll stood at 25 people with 13 missing and 1.034 million people affected. In addition to these tallies, the roads in the western mountains were destroyed while the residents suffered from electricity and water supply failure.
Two days later, the city's CCC&TSPM ended the first batch of supply distribution to four most affected villages. Afterwards, it started raising funds to purchase more relief materials and goods, part of which had been in place as of the afternoon of July 27.
On July 28, the church staff led by Pastor Wang Ye, the chairman and president of the local CCC&TSPM, set off for an affected village with the relief supply cars.
The villagers received the goods with their registration. The Christians have donated the material worth 50,000 yuan and it consisting of shovels, rubber boots, instant noodles, bread, tissues and clothes. The following rescue supply is under preparation.
