According to Shanghai CCC&TSPM, about 900 believers in the local church of Dunhua, Jilin participated in cleaning the communities including 217 house buildings on July 20.
Divided into nine groups, the Christians pulled weeds, carted away the garbage and cleaned the rubbish in the corridors as well as the advertising pamphlets.
It is said that many believers asked for a leave at the busy farming season to volunteer as cleaners.The kind action was even reported by the local media and won the praise from the officials of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture and also from the community.
Similarly, about 500 believers volunteered to clean four streets last August and it was welcomed by the community workers and residents.
