The Panshi(Rock) Church has recently announced that the Daqing Christian Bible Training Center has been officially put on record and approved by the local bureau of religious affairs on May 31. In light of this approval, the center plans to recruit the first batch of seminarians this September.
It is said the center will be based in Panshi Church with three floors of dormitories and seven floors of classrooms to be allotted for the seminarians.
The graduates who will study in the center for two years may be qualified to join in the third year classes held at the Heilong Theological Seminary. In addition, the church calls on believers to pray for the construction efforts and donate for the center's continous growth.
Currently, there is only one seminary in the province. Heilongjiang Provincial Protestant Bible School started in 1996 and was upgraded to seminary level in 2013. Heilongjiang Seminary now has a larger campus at Mount of Olives with a much bigger curriculum and larger staff. If you were deaf and wanted to become a pastor in China, this was the seminary you'd attend. It's the only seminary in China that accepts and trains deaf students to become pastors for the deaf community.
