From Oct. 27 to 28, the Christian church of Linzi District, Zibo, Shandong held the 10th Anniversary Thanksgiving Worship of Dedication. Ten years ago, the church, called "Town Hall," was the center of Christian activities in the whole district. But the church was located in a remote place and had a small area, which could not satisfy the needs of the believers.
In 2003, Linzi Church started the new church building in the north of Guojia Village in the Linzi district and the new church held its first dedication in 2005. The new church covers an area of 50 mu and has a construction area of 3,962 square meters. The main hall and side hall have two floors and another part of the church has three floors.
The ceremony attracted the pastors and Christians from the local churches of Shandong Province and some relevant department leaders were seen in attendance. P. Ren Xianmin, Deputy President of Shandong CCC&TSPM, Presbyterian Zhai Shanshui, Dean and President of Zibo CCC&TSPM, Yang Jihong, Director of Linzi Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, Wang Guoxing, Deputy Director of Zibo CCC&TSPM, Wang Changyu, Director of Qingzhou CCC&TSPM and other pastors and co-workers attended the ceremony.
In the ceremony, Presbyterian Zhai Shanshui of Zibo CCC&TSPM and Director Wang Changyu of Qingzhou CCC&TSPM gave their congratulatory remarks. Director Xie Hongli of Linzi CCC&TSPM presented a report that showcased the church’s work within the tens years since its first dedication and P. Ren Xianmin of Shandong CCC&TSPM gave a speech. Yang Jihong, Director of Linzi Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, also said a few words during the ceremony.
Before the ceremony, Teacher Wei Congde gave a sermon entitled, "To Build a Healthy Church," and shared the message in four aspects: preaching the gospel as the Great Commission, building yourself in love, building a church which preaches the truth in the Bible and building a church whose center is worshipping God.
After the ceremony, the Zichuan choir and the Linzi Choir sang their songs in succession.
