26th September 2024 – The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) and Lausanne Workplace Network (LWN) announce the launch of the Global Day of Faith at Work (GDFW), a worldwide event to be held annually starting on 1st May 2025. This momentous occasion aims to bring together the global Christian community to celebrate, commission, and integrate faith into the workplace, encouraging believers to live out their calling in and through the workplace. Notably, GDFW was announced at the Fourth Lausanne Congress in Seoul-Incheon.

On September 25, the third Missiological Engagement plenary was held at the Fourth Lausanne conference. Three scholars and ministers from India and Iran addressed speeches on the theme of “God’s Mission Amidst Challenge and Adversity.”

In the speech named “Gen Zs in Missional Community, God’s New Society”, Professor Denise-Margaret Thompson emphasized to all attendees the significance of Generation Zs for God’s mission today and that the church must engage and equip them in accord with their characteristics.

On September 24th, Bishop Efraim Tendero, the executive director of the Galilean Movement and Global Ambassador of the World Evangelical Alliance, delivered a speech named “Power and Integrity Call for Global Shift in the Missional Community”, calling for five reformations in the face of the current ineffective mission situation.

At the first evening session of the Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization, Reverend Vaughan Roberts, Rector of St. Ebbe's church in Oxford, addressed the issue of human identity and sexuality, offering a Christian response to the ongoing sexual revolution through a Christ revolution.

On the first evening of Lausanne 4, Dr. Ruth Padilla-DeBorst, a theologian and advocate for social justice, delivered a message about the Christian’s responsibility to address systemic injustice. Speaking from her experience as a Christian leader in Latin America, Ruth emphasized that justice is not optional for Christians—it is at the very core of God's call.

In the first missiological engagement plenary of the Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization entitled “God’s Mission Empowered by the Holy Spirit” on September 23, speakers demonstrated dynamic testimonies and rational experience of churches led by the Spirit, highlighting that “God is at work.”

On September 22, the Fourth Lausanne Congress officially kicked off in Incheon, South Korea, gathering over 5,000 Christian leaders and evangelists from 202 nations, with an additional 5,000 participants joining virtually from around the world. This historic event aims to address the challenges of spreading the Gospel in an ever-changing world.
