"The Ranch" is one of the series from Netflix which continues to make airwaves today since it was first released in 2016. It's an American comedy web television series starring Ashton Kutcher, Debra Winger, Danny Masterson, and Sam Elliott. Recently, Kutcher's character in the series has earned quite a lot of response from viewers as the character is now being pegged revolutionary as he rejects abortion and convinces his girlfriend to sustain life.

On the premiere of the third season of the show on June 16, the story started with former high school and college football star, Colt Bennett (Ashton Kutcher) as he finds out that Heather (Kelli Goss), his ex-girlfriend is pregnant with their baby.

Abortion is an issue in Hollywood that is rarely given a pro-life voice, and it is also rare to hear a favor of life argument. In the show, Kutcher's character puts up a fight when he learns that his girlfriend is planning to get rid of the baby.

"I want you to know this kid will absolutely be my first priority," Colt says to Heather. "You, you're going to be a great mom. And I'm going to be a great dad. And the three of us, we'll make a great family."

However, Heather refused to be persuaded as she has plans to follow. She explains that she is not ready to have such responsibility and she's 23 years old and has other plans for her life. She also insisted that it's hard to raise kids alone because she has seen what it is like when she looked at the situation of her family members.

However, Colt argued back and said "It's not about what I want anymore, this isn't about me, it's about this kid, and we're going to have to make sacrifices."

Kutcher's character highlighted the stand that abortion is not an option. He also assures Heather that he will be regularly involved in their lives.

"This (abortion) is wrong," Colt reasons out. "You can't just take the easy way out."

After this first episode, the subsequent episodes shows Colt and Heather heading to the abortion clinic. Despite opposing her decision, it's Colt's willingness to walk her through the process softens her heart and makes her change her mind and decide to keep the baby.

"I can't. I can't do this," Heather says. "I thought it's what I wanted but, now that I'm here and it's all happening..."

When asked about the episodes and his stance on abortion, Kutcher believes that it is time the issues like abortion should be given a fresh look in the entertainment industry. Before its premiere on June 16, Kutcher already revealed that the show's new season would cover controversial social issues just like abortion and immigration.
