A village meeting point in Fujian has taken charge of this year's fundraising and distribution of student subsidies.
On August 15, Pastor Wu Shanguang from Shancheng Meeting Point in Shiliu Town, Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, brought funds to participate in the grant distribution ceremony organized by the village worthies promotion association for 2024 after learning about the ongoing village initiative of donating money for education.
Wu, on behalf of the meeting point, distributed a total of 10,400 yuan to students from Shancheng Village who have been admitted to graduate programs, universities, or high schools this year as a gesture of encouragement.
It was noted that the meeting point is currently in the process of constructing a new church, and its financial resources are relatively limited. However, they still participated in this charitable program.
Shancheng Village is a century-old village with nearly 300 households and over 1,000 residents. Established many years ago, the meeting point now has nearly 200 believers. Responding to the student aid program named "Heavenly Dew Fund" initiated by the Social Service Department of CCC&TSPM, the gathering site donates funds annually to help the village's disabled residents and supported students from disadvantaged families in continuing their education.
