Believers in Yueyang City, Hunan, donated money and supplies to believers affected by the dam breach caused by continuous heavy rainfall.

On July 5, around 4:00 PM, internal erosion occurred along the levee line of Dongting Lake in Tuanzhou, Huarong County, Yueyang, Hunan. At approximately 5:48 PM, the emergency plugging attempt failed, leading to a breach in the dam. The breach was about 220 meters wide, with an average water depth of around five meters inside the dyke, flooding an area of 47.64 square kilometers.

Following the disaster in Tuanzhou, Chen Songmei, chairman of Yueyang TSPM, mobilized believers from Yueyang City and donated funds to support disaster relief in Huarong. Two trucks filled with relief supplies arrived at the Huarong County disaster relief reception point and the Huayang meeting point on July 17. These relief supplies, valued at nearly 200,000 yuan, included 300 custom-made spring and autumn quilts and five sets of audio equipment ordered for the gathering sites in Tuanzhou.

After the relief activities in Huarong County on July 17, Reverend Chen rushed to Jifu Church in Junshan District on July 18 to deliver electric fans and space quilts to 20 households of affected believers. Junshan District TSPM also provided cash to the affected believers.
