On June 14, Zhongnan Theological Seminary held the 2024 Theology Symposium on "The Doctrine of God" in the context of the sinicization of Christianity, with nearly 180 attendees.

The symposium aimed to implement the "Outline of the Five-Year Work Plan for Further Advancing the Sinicization of Christianity (2023-2027)," which was launched last December, said Hubei Provincial TSPM.

They received over 50 papers on "The Doctrine of God," with eight teachers and eight students' papers selected as outstanding and presented at the conference. The papers covered views of God in traditional Chinese culture and in church history. After the presentations, Professor Sun Junheng, director of the Research Center of Chinese Traditional Culture at Wuhan University of Science and Technology, and Professor Kang Zhijie, a doctoral advisor at Hubei University, provided their comments.

During the symposium, attendees visited the seminary's Handicraft Workshop, which featured the sinicization of Christianity and showcased Chinese paintings, embroidery, paper cutting, weaving, and other handmade works by the students.

President Zhu Zhiguo of the school and local government leaders awarded honorary certificates to the winners of the outstanding papers and handicraft works.
