Nanjing Union Theological Seminary Establishes Internship Site in Jiangsu Church

The inauguration ceremony for the Internship Site of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary took place at a megachurch in Suzhou, Jiangsu.

On July 22nd, at Dushuhu Church, Rev. He Jiemiao, chairman and president of the Suzhou Christian Council (CC) and senior pastor of the church, emphasized that the establishment of the internship site represents an innovative endeavor in the process of sinicization of Christianity in Suzhou. This initiative was jointly undertaken by the seminary and the Suzhou CC&TSPM with the aim of elevating China's theological research level, and advancing the development of Chinese Christian theology, as stated by the Suzhou CC&TSPM.

Rev. Chen Yilu, vice president of the China Christian Council (CCC) and executive vice president of the seminary, expressed that the establishment of this site would facilitate a more profound understanding of the practical requirements of grassroots churches as well as foster collaboration and exchange between the seminary's faculty and students and the clergy in Suzhou.
