In the northern Shanxi Province of China, volunteer training courses were held to improve the overall quality of pastoral workers.
Linyi County CC&TSPM in Yuncheng City held its 24th volunteer training class from January 26 to February 2. It was attended by pastoral volunteers from 26 churches in the county.
Based on the Book of Galatians, Li Lumei from Hejin City preached that Christians lived by faith. Luo Hejing from Jishan County shared about God’s love and care for the people, citing scriptures from the Book of Micah. Pastor Guo Xinli of Linyi Church taught attendees about sermon classification and preaching skills using hermeneutics. During the training, eight trainees were selected to join the pastoral team from the 41 people who had participated in the trial lecture.
On February 2, the orchestra also gave a performance at the closing ceremony of the training courses.
