"We will keep on sending warmth by donating spare clothes to impoverished areas," said the leader of a church in China’s southeastern-coastal Zhejiang Province.
In Jiaojiang Church of Taizhou City on June 16, believers packed a total of 80,000 yuan worth of clothes, including six bags of children's clothes which is the inventory sold online, 40 pairs of new women’s leather shoes donated by one female believer, and four packs of 80% new clothing. Loaded into a small four-wheeled vehicle, these goods were to be sent to Weinan District in Xi’an, Shaanxi, through the Luqiao Logistics Center, with the shipping fee paid by the church, the church reported.
"Please help our poor rural children lacking clothes," said Wei Fuhong, a member of the Weinan District Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, asking for help from Jiaojiang church members.
