Following the reopening of city churches on June 5 in Anshan, Liaoning, two suburban churches in the city also resumed in-person services after meeting the criteria of the higher authorities.
After nearly three months of lockdown, the Laohutun Church on the outskirts of Anshan City as well as the Ertaizi Church in the western suburbs of the city both resumed face-to-face gatherings on Friday, June 10. Because of being located in a relatively remote area, members of the latter church, as usual, picked up the worshippers arriving at the bus terminal in two separate groups.
Following the COVID-19 protocols, churchgoers sat down to listen to a sermon entitled, "Have You Met the Lord?" preached by Elder Gao Wenxia, the leader of the church.
Based in the hinterland of the Liaoning River Delta, the Shengli Church in Tai'an County, Anshan City, restarted its onsite Sunday service on June 5, with a sermon entitled "Pentecost" given by Pastor Shi Baoan on June 12 when a praise and worship meeting was also conducted .
