On their official WeChat accounts, three churches in two of China’s northern-coastal provinces announced the resumptions of their face-to-face services, all requiring negative nucleic acid tests to be taken within the previous 48 hours.
Chongyi Church in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, on May 17 said believers could book their places online in advance and that the elderly without smartphones should take swab samples before attending church service with their ID cards.
On the same day, Centennial Church in Ningbo, Zhejiang, released a notice, saying five days later it would resume onsite weekday gatherings and Sunday services and that the latter can also be watched at home
Changzhou Church in Jiangsu on May 19 stated it would reopen after having reported to relevant authorities.
