Guangxi Beihai Church held four services last Sunday to mark the annual Father’s Day that just fell right on the third Sunday of this June.
In the first service, Rev. Huang Zhengxin exhorted the congregation to obey their parents in the Lord and honor them in a sermon titled “Parents and Children,” according to Ephesians 6:1-4 and Colossians 3:20-21.
The church prepared a surprise for Christian fathers: two flowers, of which were a baby’s breath (gypsophila) and a red rose, were given to each father.
Expressing thanks, each father was filled with smiles.
Later, the congregation blessed them with singing and applause.
