Recently the Flower Lane Church in Fuzhou, Fujian Province issued a notice, saying that due to COVID-19, the New Year Eve prayer gathering was canceled.
Due to the resurgence of the novel coronavirus pandemic in some parts of the country, the Christmas Eve worship service and live broadcast also were canceled in accordance with the government's pandemic prevention and control measures.
Built in 1915, the total construction area (including the second floor underground) of the megachurch is 7500 square meters (1.85 acres). The number of the churchgoers reaches over 20,000 and about 6500 persons participate in the three services on Sunday.
