During the autumn harvest season, the churches in all parts of Liaoning Province showed their appreciation to the teachers and students of the Northeast China Theological Seminary, the cradle of pastors in Northeast China.
On September 25, Elder Li Tirzah, the head of the Xingong Street Church, in Xinglongtai District, Panjin City, sent 250 kg of high-quality rice, which had just been harvested and processed, to the seminary, according to CCC&TSPM.
Since the seminary opened in early November, Pastor Hou Yujie, deputy chairman of the Liaoning Provincial CC&TSPM and chairman of the Yingkou municipal CC&TSPM, organized churches to deliver 2500 kg of apples and 1,000 kg of oranges.
On November 16, they again presented 5,000 kg apples, 1,000 kg bananas, 50 boxes of jellyfish and a pig weighing nearly 200 kg. Pastor Hou also brought a chef to make a sauerkraut stew that people in Northeast China particularly like.
The next day 1,000 kilograms of eggs were given to the seminary. On November 20, Elder Fang Zhicheng, chairman of the Panjin Municipal CC&TSPM, presented 2,900 kg of new rice, 20 bags of flour, 80 barrels of soybean oil, nearly 400 kg of pork, and 7,000 kg of rice.
Prior to this, the Hedong Church in Fushun City offered its own high-quality soy sauce worth 700 yuan to the college cafeteria; Chenxiang Church in Shenyang City donated 500 kg of freshly harvested rice to the college.
