The seminary was located in the Gunagzhou Dongshan Church and offered a two-year theology program. In 1994 the school was relocated to the former Bishop House of the Anglican Church in Shamian and started a three-year associate degree program. It moved to the present campus in 2001 and in 2009 became the first provincial-level seminary to run an undergraduate program.
