On October 14, three days before the traditional Double Ninth Festival in China, Hangzhou North Church sent gifts to people at and above 80.
They received a bouquet of flowers and a set of bedclothes as presents for the incoming Senior's Day.
Citing Proverbs 23:22-25, Matthew 22:35-40, Ephesians 6:1-4, a pastor shared the message of honoring the elderly and loving the young in the second Sunday service.
Statistics collected from Sept. 30 showed that 270 seniors who have lived for at least 80 years applied to receive gifts.
