How can Christians influence people around them? According to one article from a Christian WeChat account, "Our impact on others lies in our own characters."

The post first proposes that the reason why Christ is witnessed because there's no one like him. His words come from a clean, sacred, loving, merciful, just and upright heart, namely, the character of Christ. The influence of Christ that comes from one's character wins hearts.

Christians need to have Christ-like characters. Those whose characters are never transformed hardly influence others with their deeds.

It is impossible for double-minded Christians, who are fascinated with the world while maintaining their Christian identity, to develop characters of Christ. Neither can they have firm faith built on the rock of Christ. Unbelievers are able to save unbelieving sinners in this unbelieving generation.

As a result, the articles appeals that Christians should desire a thorough change.

After rebirth, Christians are like a good seed rooted in the field. Growing in Jesus Christ, they keep producing fruits of characters in their life -- love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. In this way, people around them can taste these fruits. At the same time, the post warns that it is not smooth sailing to develop characters of Christ.

Christians can hope to be like Jesus, "while the environment, where God places us, seems to activate all of our sins' nature. All the mistakes and shortcomings we didn't know are revealed." It claims that God trains us in this way, through which He exposes our disadvantages and helps us correct them so that our holy characters can be shaped to light people around us.

Therefore, Christians should cooperate with God in working on this and take the effort to train themselves.
