In the New Testament, the book of Acts records that the disciples preached the Gospel in different places after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. Most of the time, they shared the good news through different voices. With the development of technology, the ways of evangelism have become diversified.
Brother Z, from a business fellowship in the country, claims that there are two evangelism methods:
1. Influencing life using Gospel tracts
The main characteristic of Christians is love. Spread the Gospel in such a way you are transmitting love and attract unbelievers to convert with your life.
He mentions that some new converts have high evangelistic fervor, distributing Gospel tracts to unreached people and declaring the slogan that those who believe in God have eternal life. However, what is true meaning of the slogan? Every Christian needs to ponder over it.
We live in an abnormal world of sins that contradicts the will of God. Christians are a normal group who have renewed life. "The life of faith remains unchanged in your limited time all your life."
He states that the most common method of evangelism is using Gospel tracts that may reach several people at a time. But, nurturing newcomers can turn out to be a challenge. He holds that the top priority should be to build the lives of workers. He has met some preachers who graduated from so-called seminaries. Knowing nothing and inexperienced in society, they provide their own answers rather than using God's word to specific problems from believers.
When he quarreled with a brother who owns a company for the company's problem, an elderly brother from Guizhou, who didn't know what happened between them, solved that problem in few words. That old brother has suffered much during his faith journey and never spoken something bad. He viewed the problem in a higher level.
As Galatians 5:22-23 cited: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. "
The ultimate goal of Christian life is to bear good fruits and evangelism is a good way to produce these fruits.
2. Complete our missions with gifts that come from God.
"God gives different gifts to us... All people are connected through the bond and communion, through which we serve each other and wash each other's feet."
Brother Z said, "If God gives you the gift of evangelism, do missions; if God wants you to do business, you will start a business then one portion of your earnings will be donated to support missionaries, which belongs to a form of evangelism."
