On Tuesday, Oct 18, 2016, Fuzhou South Road Christian Church of Qingdao Shinan District held the dedication ceremony and the dedication thanksgiving service. The new church can hold 500 people.
According to Qingdao Church, the ceremony began at 9 AM. Pastor Sun Xiying presided over the ceremony, while Pastor Gao Yongliang, chairman of the Christian Council, gave the prayer. Pastor Sun Xiying gave a church thanksgiving speech on behalf of Shinan District. She said, "Thank God for looking after the churches in Qingdao and their believers. May God continue His thriving Gospel and revive the Holy work. Give all glory to God. The old Shanghanglu Church carried the services for 16 years and witnessed the Gospel testimonies of God. Now with the increasing believers, that church was no longer able to serve the need, and God led us to the new meeting place at 101 Fuzhou South Rd. Along the way, we were filled with God's grace and testimonies. Today, in the name of our Lord Jesus, we devote this land for God's use!"
Pastor Zhao Kaijie gave a sermon titled "Obligation to Glorify God's Glorified Temple" to share with the brothers and sisters. After which different fellowships in Shinan District sang hymns. At last, everyone sang "I Love Christ's Church". The dedication ceremony finished with a prayer by Pastor Shen Guangming and a blessing from Pastor Zhang Xia.
