Amity Foundation's assistance to flood-stricken areas is continuing, despite its emergency operation to assist the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei flood disaster, which has settled for now.
According to the foundation, from November 2023, to warm the disaster-stricken villagers this winter, the Amity Foundation distributed digital shopping coupons to the victim families in Gaobeidian City and Yi County in Baoding City, Hebei Province, with the support of the Tencent Charity Foundation, easing their burdens when purchasing winter supplies and doing Spring Festival shopping.
Starting on December 28, 2023, the foundation gave out "Vouchers Warm Winter" to 33 disaster-affected villages in Xiaoguanying Township, Gaobeidian County-level City, helping 7,478 families. Users can get discounts when shopping with the vouchers.
On February 6, 2024, the "Little Red Flower Warmth Protection Plan" was started in Yixian County, with 997 flood-affected families receiving Spring Festival vouchers worth 300 yuan for each family. To make it easier for villages to procure items, this project seeks to "plant" supermarkets in the mountains for the first time, allowing residents to get winter supplies locally.
On the same day, the Guangzhou Amity Charity Development Center co-organized a charity sale with Guangzhou charities to support public welfare projects such as "Reading Together" and "Assistance to Youth in Difficulties."
