A traffic policeman calmly managed to prevent a dreadful accident to happen. The world has praised him after a surveillance video was broadcast by CNN.
Li Weiqi, the traffic police assigned at a big and busy intersection in Hangzhou, Zheijang province noticed minor cracks on the road.
Most of the people would have ignored it but Li didn't fail to execute the sign of danger. By then, he begun to manage and ease the traffic and directed the cars to avoid or bypass the disputed road surface.
It was never an easy task as the crossing was quite busy. Quickly, he brought some road cones from adjacent and blocked the danger area. His colleagues came to rescue and surround the area to warn the passing vehicles to avoid it. Then and there, a two-meter-deep sinkhole showed up after a few minutes.
The video posted by CNN on its Facebook account gained over 3.6 million clicks and about 20,000 reposts and was flooded with so many praises and thanks for the job well done.

However, Li admitted in an interview that the situation was new to him and had never encountered it way back then.
He said that he really tried his best to stop the driver to go over the dubious area even if the driver was impatient. At that moment, the road collapsed just in front of them.
"He kept saying thank you for saving my life," Li said, "I told him it's not a big deal. This is my job."
