Christian celebrities received awards at the 56th Golden Bell Awards for the radio industry, expressing their gratitude to God.
Due to COVID-19, the attendance at the memorial award ceremony held at the National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall on the evening of September 25 was significantly reduced, with the participants all keeping a distance.
Among them, Radio Chia-Yin won the "Non-Commercial Advertising Award". Director Ms. Lui Siyu, shared her testimonial on stage, especially thanking those who worked on the campaign for their sacrifice and dedication,
Lui said, "Thanks to God, thanks to the judges! Winning the award is really a joy! ... Every Monday at noon, our entire staff will gather online to pray for those staff on the front line and sincerely bless them!"
Bravo 91.3 received the "Radio Branding Innovation Award" for the "Open Your Ears for Stories" radio community sound and video experience. When the recipient came on stage to receive the award, he began to thank God and quoted 1 Cor. 4:9, "There is a saying, 'We have become a drama for the world and for the angels to see.' Life is like a drama, and drama is like life, and every story deserves to be heard!" Also, he was grateful for his friends and family’s support, and finally, he gave glory to God.
Christian broadcaster Chin Cheng (winner of six Golden Bell Awards) and her 12-year-old daughter Deborah Lee (winner of three Golden Bell Awards) were the presenters of the "Best Children Programme" and "Best Host For Children’s Program". Chin shared on stage, "I think it's an honor to do my best in my job!"
Jonathan Ma, Chairman of Taiwan Radio, came on stage to present the "Special Contribution Award " to Mr. Ting Wenchi, and also said with gratitude: "I thank God for leading my father to establish a radio station in Nantou in R.O.C. 45 and giving me the opportunity to become a broadcaster.”
