CCC&TSPM issued a notice on its official website to collect hymns about Bible scriptures.
The notice said that the works should be comprised of Bible verses (different translations are allowed) with notes referencing the verses, and have Chinese rhythm or local characteristics. They could be accompanied by ethnic musical instruments and sung in dialects. The deadline for submission is the end of November.
As Christianity is a religion of music, CCC&TSPM rolls out this event to encourage more churches to create songs from scriptures and practice their faith through hymns.
