Since 1996, the Ningbo Christian Training Center has served as the school where those interested in learning the ministry and social work gathered and on May 30 to 31, the school celebrated its 20th founding anniversary in Yinzhou, Zhejiang.
The center, since its establishment, has a long and rich history. It was once built in Ningbo Holy Church before it was moved to Hanling Church close to Dongqian Lake when it was clear the Ningbo Holy Church needed some changes in its facilities.
The center offered two-year theology classes, but stopped the enrollment of students to launch short-term training programs for volunteers. Enrollment resumed in 2009.
The head of the center Rev. Dang Weixiang conducted a seminar on anti-heresy in the ceremony, claiming that the church should oppose heresy in the name of Christianity and the preachers themselves should declare the truth to defend it.
A seminary on the challenges and the opportunities of Modern Christianity was also done alongside the celebrations and there was also sharing between school fellows.
At least 200 graduates from the six sessions done by the Center, undergraduates, the local CCC&TSPMs and the church staff of key churches in the vicinity had attended the ceremony.
